Ole Miss’ roller coaster season in men’s basketball produced a particularly high moment Saturday afternoon at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum.
After losing three straight Southeastern Conference games, including a disappointing 73-60 loss to Tennessee on the road Wednesday, the Rebels responded with their biggest margin of victory in an SEC game with a 72-48 triumph over LSU. Ole Miss (16-12 overall, 6-8 SEC) did everything on coach Andy Kennedy’s checklist to earn a win over the Tigers, who defeated the Rebels 81-55 in the SEC opener for both teams on Jan. 7.
