Oxford’s eighth-grade Chargers gained a measure of revenge Thursday night with a 42-37 win over Grenada in the OHS gym. The seventh-graders won 34-26 after being down seven points during the contest. Kyree White led the eighth-grade Chargers (14-3 overall) with 16 points. Korbin Harmon and D.K. Metcalf finished with nine and seven points apiece.

Christopher Sandroni and Jack Abraham were both credited with good performances. Jarkel Joiner led the younger Chargers with 18 points, while Thomas Allen had nine points. Kevin Gipson and Colton Skidmore were both credited with good all-around efforts.

Oxford is now 11-1 on the year. All four middle school teams end the season Monday at home against Pontotoc.
