• Mark Cohn Bradley — 51, died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at Norfolk General Hospital, in Norfolk, Va. Services were held Tuesday at Bayside Presbyterian Church in Virginia Beach. An Oxford memorial is planned for a later date. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
• Elton Lee “Sonny” Jenkins — 71, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at Calhoun Nursing Home in Calhoun City. Services were held this morning at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Oxford. Burial followed in Pine Flat.
• Essie Mae Jones — 79, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at Graceland Care Center in Oxford. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Jordan Chapel C.M.E Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church. Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of the arrangements.
• Norma Stringfield Scallorn — 94, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at Yalobusha General Nursing Home in Water Valley. Services were  held this morning in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley.
• Georgia Mae Smith — 72, died Saturday at Graceland Care Center in Oxford. Arrangements are incomplete with Kenneth I. Roberson Funeral Home of Pontotoc.
