Lady ‘Dores leave chances on the pitch

The Grenada girls made the most of their chances on Tuesday evening at William L. Buford Stadium.

The Lady Commodores did not.

Despite maintaining possession for much of the first half and generating numerous scoring chances, the Lafayette girls fell to Grenada in penalty kicks 3-2 after regulation ended in a 2-2 tie.

Several times during the first half of the girls’ game, Lafayette had point-blank chances and either whiffed on the shot, missed just wide or was blocked by Grenada keeper Sydney Taylor. (January 4, 2012, Page 7)
