Saturday night’s game against South Carolina was special for Ole Miss junior forward Murphy Holloway, a native of Irmo, S.C., that was actually a member of the Gamecocks last season.
Holloway was unable to see any time last season due to transfer rules following his exit from Ole Miss, but he still spent a lot of time with the Gamecocks and got close to several members of the team.
Holloway had another great performance for the Rebels in the 66-62 win as he scored 14 points and garnered 11 rebounds. In many ways, if Holloway had been on South Carolina’s roster, the game may have gone the other way. (January 30, 2012, Page 4B)
