- Shirley DePriest Baldwin, 66, died Friday, Dec. 16, 2011 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home in Oxford, with Bro. Randy Hope officiating. Burial will follow in Abbeville Cemetery. Visitation will be held for an hour and a half prior to the service at the funeral home. Retired from Furniture World in Oxford, she was the former town clerk of Abbeville and was a member of First Baptist Church of Abbeville. Also, she was a member of the Darrell DePriest Lafayette County DAV. Survivors include her mother, Arlie Mae Irwin DePriest of Abbeville; three daughters, Evelyn Windham and Teresa Baldwin, both of Southaven, and Karen Walters of Abbeville; one sister, Linda Kisner of Abbeville; two brothers, Danny DePriest and Keith DePriest, both of Abbeville; and four grandchildren.
