The Oxford Tree Board hosts the first in a regularly planned series of Tree Talks from 6:30 to 7:30 this evening at the Depot building on the Ole Miss campus. The guest speaker will be Fred Morgan, a consulting arborist from Memphis. Morgan will speak about tree care and maintenance issues in the wintertime and answer specific questions about trees. The event is free and informal, and the public is invited. The Tree Board also plans to use this and future speaker forums to highlight the volunteer opportunities of its Oxford Community Foresters program and update Oxford residents on Tree Board projects, such as the recently revised tree canopy survey and Oxford Re-Leaf program.
