Lady Rebels ready to face No. 9 Miami

The Ole Miss women will look to win their sixth-straight game on Sunday when they travel to South Beach to face No. 9 Miami.
The game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. tip and will be broadcast on 105.5 FM.
Ole Miss (6-1 overall) heads into Sunday’s game with sophomore guard Valencia McFarland and senior forward Nikki Byrd averaging 14.9 and 14.6 points per game to lead the Lady Rebels. Byrd is fresh off of posting her 10th career double-double.
Against Grambling State, Byrd scored 18 points and had 11 rebounds, making it her fifth consecutive game to record a double-double.
Byrd’s rebounding mark of 11.7 per game ranks her sixth in the country.
Miami (7-1) is fresh off of a 92-81 double-overtime win over No. 11 Rutgers on Monday.
All-American Shenise Johnson leads the Miami women with 18.9 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
Riquana Williams is chipping in 17.6 points per game and also has 20 steals.
Miami leads the all-time series 4-2 and cruised to an 82-46 win in Oxford last season.
Ole Miss’ lone road win against Miami came in the form of a 79-61 victory in 1986. (December 9, 2011)
