Lady Chargers blank New Albany in soccer

Oxford’s girls traveled to New Albany Thursday and earned a 2-0 win over the Lady Bulldogs. Oxford had 15 shots on goal in the win, while goalkeeper Emily Meadows had six saves.

“This game was a big improvement for our team. We possessed the ball, communicated well and took chances towards the goal. Our seniors stepped up in a big way as leaders and we were thrilled to welcome captain Meredith Sanford back on the field. We still need to work on shooting and finishing and that will be our focus for this week’s practice,” OHS coach Laura Flint said.
