Jackson named 2-3A Player of the Year by region’s coaches

When coaches talk amongst themselves, there’s often two types of players that come up, players they identify by their number and then there’s players that are discussed by name.

C.J. Jackson is one of the latter.

In three seasons as a starter for the Water Valley Blue Devils Jackson has built a reputation as a fast, hard-hitting linebacker that has a nose for the ball.

It’s because of that notoriety that the senior linebacker was named the Mississippi Association of Coaches’ Region 2-3A Most Valuable Player on Thursday. (December 2, 2011, Page 6A)
