Friday’s obituaries

  • April Nichelle Reithel — 29, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at her home in Oxford. Arrangements are incomplete with Waller Funeral Home of Oxford. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home of Oxford. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. She was the head veterinary technician at Crossroads Animal Hospital, where she worked for nearly 10 years. Born in Portales, N.M., she was a graduate of Oxford High School.  She attended Ole Miss.  She was preceded in death by a grandfather, Robert J. Reithel in 1998 and a sister, Alexis Reithel, in 1985. She touched many lives in the community through her love for pets and people. She was a cherished daughter, sister, family member, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to have known her. Survivors include her parents, Vicki and Brian Reithel of Oxford; one sister, Ruby Reithel of Oxford; one brother, Dylan Reithel of Oxford; grandparents, Harriet and Don Bell of Clovis, N.M., and Louise E. Reithel of Albuquerque, N.M., and one great-grandmother, Marilyn Collins of Prescott, Ariz.   • William Dalton “Pepper” Thomas — 77, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital–North Mississippi in Oxford. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at College Hill Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service in the fellowship hall at the church. Burial will follow in College Hill Cemetery. Waller Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of the arrangements.
