MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Ask any of Mississippi’s top football talents if he has heard from Ole Miss’ new coach and the answer was the same more often than not.
“(Hugh Freeze) called almost every night this week. That shows they’re really interested,” North Pike defensive end/linebacker A.J. Jefferson said on Saturday.
Jefferson’s response was not uncommon at the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game.
Virtually all of Mississippi’s uncommitted players said the newest Rebel coach wasted no time getting in touch. (December 12, 2011, Page 6)
