Former Oxford High standout Deantae Smith won the Hubert Tucker Offensive MVP Saturday for his performance in the MACJC Football All-Star Classic. Smith caught three passes for 35 yards and caught the North’s lone touchdown in a 14-8 loss to the South. Smith was the second-straight Ranger to win an MVP award in the game. Last year linebacker Renaldo Buck was named defensive MVP. (December 7, 2011, Page 6)
