MONTGOMERY, Ala. —Hindered by a slow start and an inability to get any consistency on offense, Mississippi fell to Alabama 31-12 in the 25th edition of the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game on Saturday at the Cramton Bowl.
Although Mississippi struck early, turning a blocked punt by Rosa Fort’s James Northern into a field goal to tie the game 3-3, the “home team” never found a rhythm on offense.
Mississippi’s longest drive of the day, which came in the fourth quarter, lasted eight plays and covered just 26 yards. (December 12, 2011, Page 6)
