On Saturday, Ole Miss’ fans got a healthy dose of the freshmen class as the Rebels started six true freshmen (receiver Donte Moncrief, offensive lineman Aaron Morris, linebacker Serderius Bryant, cornerback Senquez Golson, safety Cody Prewitt and defensive end C.J. Johnson).
Redshirt freshman receiver Vincent Sanders also made his first career start.
While the offensive freshmen each made plays, it was the youngsters on defense that stood out.
Johnson recorded a career-high nine solo tackles while also tallying one tackle for loss and one forced fumble. (November 14, 2011, Page 1B)
