As the conference and nation prepares to watch the No. 1 LSU Tigers take on the No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday, Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt and Kentucky’s Joker Phillips have been preparing their teams for a completely different type of game.
Both the Rebels (2-6 overall, 0-5 Southeastern Conference) and Wildcats (3-5, 0-4) are obviously still searching for any amount of success after disappointing Octobers. Both teams went 1-3 last month and unable to do anything in SEC games at home or on the road.
For Nutt, who said he doesn’t worry about his job week to week during his weekly press conference, the focus is about the future and getting his young team to finally finish a good start to games. (November 4, 2011, Page 11A)
