Ole Miss’ athleticism, depth and energy level has helped them win its first two basketball games of the season.
Unfortunately for the Rebels, and more specifically coach Andy Kennedy, long-range shooting and the overall offense hasn’t been nearly as good as the scores may suggest.
The Rebels defeated Grambling State 69-39 Monday night at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum despite shooting just 2-for-26 from behind the 3-point line. Ole Miss was just 30-for-73 from the field and 7-for-14 from the free-throw line, one game after the team opened the season with a 19-for-57 shooting night from the field and 5-for-26 from the 3-point line.
