Ole Miss powers its way past Grambling

Ole Miss’ athleticism, depth and energy level has helped them win its first two basketball games of the season.

Unfortunately for the Rebels, and more specifically coach Andy Kennedy, long-range shooting and the overall offense hasn’t been nearly as good as the scores may suggest.

The Rebels defeated Grambling State 69-39 Monday night at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum despite shooting just 2-for-26 from behind the 3-point line. Ole Miss was just 30-for-73 from the field and 7-for-14 from the free-throw line, one game after the team opened the season with a 19-for-57 shooting night from the field and 5-for-26 from the 3-point line. (November 15, 2011, Page 6)
