When: 12/2/2011

An open house will be held from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Friday at the Kennon Observatory on the campus of the University of Mississippi. Attendees will have an opportunity to observe the Moon, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, as well as star clusters (including the Pleiades), nebulae (including the Orion Nebula), galaxies (including the Andromeda Galaxy) and colorful double stars. Observations are possible only if the weather cooperates. If the weather is cloudy, the event will be canceled. Families and children are welcome. The event is free.
