A week after announcing Houston Nutt would not be back to coach the Ole Miss Rebels in 2012, the search to find Nutt’s replacement continues to take shape.
One of the biggest coaching names that has been associated with the search in some fashion is former Texas Tech coach Mike Leach, who has emerged as one of the fan favorites. Leach, who went 2-1 against the Rebels during his time at Texas Tech, has been out of coaching since the end of the 2009 season. He is currently living in Key West, Fla., and co-hosting a daily radio show, “College Football Playbook” with Jack Arute.
Leach, who went 84-43 in 10 seasons at Texas Tech, said Monday he has enjoyed his time away from football working on his radio show and other projects such as co-writing a book, “Swing Your Sword” with CBSSports.com college football writer Bruce Feldman. (November 15, 2011, Page 6)
