East Side ends Water Valley’s season

BLOG: WATER VALLEY — For the second season in a row Water Valley’s march for its first state championship since 1990 came up short in the third round of the playoffs.

In a game that saw both team turn the ball over multiple times, the East Side Trojans were able to force one last interception with 3:21 remaining to secure a 32-27 victory over Water Valley at Bobby Clark Field.East Side will advance to face Charleston in the Class 3A North Half Final.

Charleston advanced to face the Trojans by defeating Kossuth 58-0.

Tonight’s loss puts Water Valley’s final record at 11-3. (November 18, 2011)
