All members of the community are invited to attend the Lafayette County Soil & Water Conservation District meeting at 6 p.m. Oct. 27 at Lafayette High School Commons. Registration is $10 per person and includes the meal, program and membership. John Ruskey, Quapaw Canoe Company, will present the program, “The Great Flood of 2011 – Memphis to Vicksburg,” along photos, videos and music as he canoed down the Mississippi River during the great flood last spring.
