The first set of meetings that will be used to determine future schedules in all sports for the Southeastern Conference were conducted in a productive and positive matter according to Ole Miss Athletics Director Pete Boone.
SEC athletics directors met with commissioner Mike Slive Wednesday to start discussing the logistics of including Texas A&M into the league and what the Aggies inclusion does to future schedules in all sports. Boone said Thursday morning that football schedules had to be decided “as soon as possible,” but schedules in other sports also had to be decided on fairly quickly.
Boone gave no exact date as to when the final details of the schedules would be completed, but he said a teleconference was scheduled in the coming weeks and that he thought all schedules would be finalized shortly after another round or two of talks happened. (October 7, 2011, Page 7A)
