Lafayette JV earns win in season finale

The football season can be a long grind on players, even on a championship-caliber squad like Lafayette’s.

And when you’re on the scout team, getting beat up day-in and day-out by the bigger, stronger varsity guy sometimes it’s difficult to remain motivated and get through practices.

That’s why junior varsity games, like Monday’s between Lafayette and Tupelo at William L. Buford Stadium, are viewed as a type of reward for the players. (October 18, 2011, Page 8)
