Gulf Oil Spill Public Forum

A team of experts is scheduled to discuss the impact of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in a public forum Thursday at the University of Mississippi. The 90-minute, free event begins at 6 p.m. in Guyton Annex Room 210. Limited seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Panelists include Kristine Willett, associate professor of pharmacology and graduate program coordinator for the Environmental Toxicology Research Program in the UM School of Pharmacy; Phillip Lee, senior research scientist at the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory; Moby Solangi, president and executive director of the Institute for Marine Mammal Studies; and Joe Jewell, assistant director of Fisheries in the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources. The panel presentation is slated for 70 minutes, followed by a 20-minute question-and-answer session. Refreshments will be served afterward.
