Dean runs away with POW honor

Oxford running back Mont Dean made up for a slow start to the Region 2-4A season in a big way this past Friday night. After missing the Center Hill game and a half of the game at New Hope, Dean exploded in his first full region contest of the year by rushing for 258 yards, four touchdowns on 31 carries.

All three statistics were season highs for Dean, who now has 887 yards and 15 touchdowns on the year. His performance against the Gators earned him this week’s Player of the Week honor and his second overall on the year. (October 11, 2011, Page 7)
