County pulls YAC funding

During its regular meeting Monday morning, the Lafayette County Board of Supervisors voted 3 to 2 to not approve the $15,000 originally budgeted for the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council due to a controversial art show. Read more about this vote in today’s EAGLE. (October 3, 2011)

      Shame on you, Lafayette County Board of Supervisors. How embarrassing for the Oxford/University community. Grow up and stop trying to mandate *your* version of morality to everyone else.

      The best part of Mississippi is the arts. Keep legislating morality and Mississippi will rank last in every good category.
