WATER VALLEY — Unfortunately for the Blue Devils, football is a game that consists of two halves.
Had Water Valley’s junior varsity squad only counted its second half on Monday night it would have blanked the Bruce Trojans 14-0.
That wasn’t the case, however, and thanks to a 26-point first half the JV Trojans defeated Water Valley 26-20 at Bobby Clark Field.
In the two earlier games, the seventh-grade Blue Devils won 24-8 to improve to 6-1 on the year, while the eighth-grade Blue Devils blanked Bruce 33-0 to remain undefeated at 7-0. (October 11, 2011, Page 6)
