Abiodun Oyewole, the legendary "Father of Rap"  and a founding member of the prolific spoken word group "The Last Poets," is coming to Ole Miss at 8 this evening to perform and enlighten. Other performers scheduled to join the activist, educator and poet at the Nutt auditorium include Memphizm Poets: Master of the Skies, Writeous Soul, Lady Jaz & Goddesskhemeti and many more. The community is invited to attend the night that celebrates the spoken word and will explore the origins of rap and hip hop.
