Oxford soccer coach wins top award

Laura Flint, the coach of the Under 12 Girls D2 soccer team, was recently named Coach of the Year for girls competitive soccer by the U.S. Youth Soccer Association. Flint, who is also the head coach of the Oxford High girls team, has helped the Oxford Extreme reach great heights during her tenure and she was rewarded with her leadership and dedication by the organization as the top coach in the state of Mississippi.

Flint was credited with the award for her super promotion of sportsmanship, her development of players and her sincere coaching style. With the award, Flint is now eligible to receive the top coaching award in the nation which will be announced at a later date. (September 29, 2011, Page 8)
