Led by Callie Mayo and Austin Carter, the Oxford girls and boys cross country teams had successful showings at the Pontotoc Cross Country Invitational Saturday held at Longbow Trails. Mayo finished second in the 2.5 mile race with a time of 16 minutes, 28 seconds. Carter, meanwhile, was the top boys finisher with a time of 17:57, good for seventh overall. (September 12, 2011, Page 4B)
