Lafayette opened up the first quarter of play with 28 unanswered points en route to a 56-14 win over the Red Raiders, pushing the No. 1 ranked ‘Dores winning streak to 21 games.
LHS quarterback Jeremy Liggins got things started when he found Colby Terrell on a slant route over the middle of the field for a 55-yard touchdown on the ‘Dores third offensive play of the game. Liggins found another target over the middle on the ‘Dores next drive, hitting DeBrico Burgess on a slant route for a 37-yard touchdown pass to put LHS (5-0 overall) ahead 14-0 with 3:42 to play in the opening quarter.
