The first meeting for the new year for the David Reese Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the home of Maralyn Bullion. This will be the annual salad luncheon. Members are asked to bring a favorite salad. Prospective members are invited to this meeting. Former members who are interested in being reinstated are also invited and urged to attend.
The new regent, Marjorie Clay, will preside and give a report on her trip to Washington and the DAR Continental Congress last July. She will also review plans for the coming year and assign committees for the various projects. More activities with the veterans in the Oxford home are planned as well as programs with the history departments of the local schools and a literacy program. For more information or for directions to Bullion's home, call 234-3299.
