Charleston’s Wilson, O’Bannon silence Blue Devils

WATER VALLEY — Friday was a rare quiet night for the Water Valley Blue Devils.

For much of the second half, and especially during the dwindling moments of regulation, Water Valley’s sideline was quiet with the exception of plays being called and senior Chris Conard attempting to pick up his teammates.

The Blue Devils had just endured one of the most lopsided losses of the Brad Embry era, falling to Charleston 39-3 at Bobby Clark field, and the Water Valley sideline was missing its lively exuberance that has become so common during the same era. (September 19, 2011, Page 4B)
