Are we seeing the effects of a curse on the Rebels?

There’s the Curse of the Bambino, the Curse of the Goat, the Sports Illustrated jinx, et cetera? Is there a Curse of the Rebels or something akin to that to add to the list. Editor Don Whitten’s not so sure, but he still examines the situation while taking a look at other “curses.” (September 28, 2011, Page 4)

      Don,
I’m not sure what exactly you are referring to when you say “”Dixie” songs, recent victims of new policies and procedures”. Have you been to any Ole Miss home games this year? I’ve been to them all and it seems to me that I can barely get in my seat at kickoff without hearing “Dixie songs” at least 5 times. I’m no music major but I’ve got ears and I can hear the band playing this song all and in part about 100 times a game. So I’m not sure exactly what you are referring to as a possible origin of the curse on our Ole Miss rebels. Maybe it has something to do with a fractured fan base that would rather criticize the teams and administration that actually get off their behinds and cheer??!
      Just sayin’
