- Cynthia “Cindy” Leigh Farrar — 57, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011, at her home in Oxford. No services are planned at this time. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford was in charge of local arrangements.
- Hudie Pearson — 78, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at Graceland Care Center in Oxford. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Tallahatchie Oxford Missionary Baptist Association Building. Burial will follow in Yocona Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at North Hopewell M.B. Church in Taylor. Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.

What can I say about Cindy. Cindy was there for me in my times of need. She cared deeply for her friends and her loyalty was unconditional. I loved her and many others did too. She will be greatly missed and never, ever forgotten.
