Ole Miss’ final scrimmage before the official start of school was billed as the one that would decide who the starting quarterback would be for the season opener on Sept. 3.
While extensive film study may end up allowing offensive coordinator David Lee and coach Houston Nutt do ultimately decide who that player will be, the verdict was still uncertain immediately after Saturday’s scrimmage at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. (August 22, 2011, Page 1B)
