Would like you to do an article on Credit and Debit card fees that we pay for consumers to use the cards. These fees have cost my business over $18,000.00 over the last three years. People are not aware that we pay these fees. When consumers earn rewards on credit cards such as sky miles, cruises, gift cards, and cash back, we pay an even higher fee because we are the ones paying for these items not the credit card companies. 99.3% of the cards we take in daily are debit cards. For example we took 35 cards yesterday and 33 were debit cards. If this trend continues the small business owners will either be forced to quit taking them or close thier doors.
