BLOG — HOOVER, Ala. — Southeastern Conference Commissioner Mike Slive started the annual Media Days event today with a 20-minute proposal regarding new ideas on recruiting and educational requirements for incoming students, among other things.There were several topics covered by Slive in his talk and a full story will be made available in Thursday’s EAGLE. Slive talked about increasing the 2.0 grade point average on 16 core classes to 2.5 and re-defining the ways coaches communicate to prospects through new media such as Twitter or Facebook as well as on off-campus visits.
