With the 2011 football season kicking off in 39 days with BYU, Ole Miss Athletics and the UMAA Foundation announced Tuesday that season ticket sales are ahead of where they were at this same time a year ago.
“Not counting student tickets, we have already surpassed last year’s final number with more than five weeks until the season,” Ole Miss Athletics Director Pete Boone said. “We want to thank the fans for this incredible support and we look forward to filling Vaught-Hemingway this fall.”
With the current demand for season tickets, the date that single-game SEC tickets will become available has been moved from Aug. 1 to Aug. 15. All fans looking to secure single-game SEC tickets are encouraged to purchase season tickets.
The 2011 and 2012 schedules are among the best in the nation. The Rebels will welcome the last six BCS National Champions to Oxford over the next two seasons. Alabama and LSU are on this year’s home schedule, and Texas, Florida and Auburn will visit in 2012.
Fans are encouraged to visit the new website OleMissFB.com for more information on season tickets and to purchase tickets online. Fans can also call 662-915-7159 to speak with an Ole Miss sales representative. Season tickets are $295 each and a limited number of great seats still remain. (July 27, 2011, Page 6A)
