The Nike’esque commercial, which was filmed by Micah Ginn under the direction of Matthew Graves, shows Bolden hard at work in the Mississippi heat on the hot turf of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, preparing for the upcoming season.
Spinning a ball on the goal line, a drenched Bolden — accompanied by a bold and emphatic orchestra soundtrack —races to mid-field and back in slow motion just in time to dive from the 6-yard line and scoop up the ball before it falls on its side.
Bolden stands, stares at the camera, and asks “Are you ready?” before presumably repeating the drill as the screen turns to black.
All total, Bolden said the spot only took about six takes. (July 15, 2011, Page 6A)
