Swindall will lead 8th-grade Chargers

Perry Swindall just couldn’t stay away from the football field.

Swindall had left the coaching ranks after two seasons at LaFayette (Ga.) and relocated his family to Oxford to be able to watch his son, Evan, play for Ole Miss.
But after a year away, Swindall began to get that coaching “itch” again.

Instead of heading up an area high school football program, however, Swindall has taken over the reigns of the Oxford Middle School program because, as he put it, he feels like he still has more to give. (June 28, 2011, Page 7)
