Ole Miss’ season may be over but there’s a handful of Rebels who are continuing to play during the summer months.
At least 13 Rebels are scattered in six leagues across the United States, including the Cape Cod League, the Cotton States Baseball League based in New Albany and the Coastal Plain League among others.
The summer provides the players a chance to work on various skills that the season’s games and practices may not have allowed.
For redshirt freshman Casey Greene, this summer will give him an opportunity to improve his pitching. After spending this past season redshirting — and taking grounders at second, third and shortstop during practices and before games — Greene said he is expecting to see more time as a pitcher moving forward.
