Ole Miss football fans should get used to the word “different” this season when they attend games at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. If the vision of Michael Thompson, Ole Miss’ Senior Associate Athletics Director for Communications and Marketing, goes according to plan, then the gameday experience on Saturdays will be different, diverse and more unique than it has ever been.
Ever since Thompson was hired 10 months ago to help better market Ole Miss athletics, he has been focused on improving the gameday experience for the fans, to make it just as appealing to stay in the stadium as the Grove and ultimately create an atmosphere that makes opposing teams uncomfortable when they come to Oxford.
