NEW ALBANY — Ole Miss’ Jimel Judon looks like a completely different batter on the diamond of the New Albany Sportsplex this summer.
Judon’s stance is the same, but his production certainly is not.
After recording just two hits in 36 at-bats last summer for the Tallahatchie Rascals of the Cotton States Baseball League, the former Myrtle standout is hitting .400 — good enough for third amongst league regulars — through nine games this season.
On Sunday, Judon, in the midst of a mini-hitting renaissance, went 1-for-4 with a run scored in the Tippah County Tribe’s loss to the Golden Triangle Jets. (June 27, 2011, Page 6)
