Former Oxford Charger and Western Kentucky slugger Chad Cregar has signed a contract to play for the Frontier League’s Windy City Thunderbolts.
The Thunderbolts currently lead the East Division with a 12-10 overall record.
Cregar was a 15th round selection of the Florida Marlins in 2009 and after hitting .219 in 32 at-bats in his first season in the minor leagues, he hit .220 with 17 homers and 57 RBIs in 391 at-bats in 2010 with the Class-A Advanced Jupiter Hammerheads of the Florida State League.
