Area players help CSBL teams earn wins

Former area players helped lead the North Delta Dealers and the Tippah County Tribe to wins in the Cotton States Baseball League on Sunday night in New Albany.

The Dealers beat the Tallahatchie Rascals 6-5. Former Water Valley standout Walt McCullough scored a run for the Dealers, while former OHS pitcher Hunt Halford drove in a run and struck out two in his lone inning of work playing for the Tribe, who beat the Tupelo Thunder 2-1. Hunter Mize, a former LHS Commodore, was 2-for-5 with a run scored for the Rascals, while former OHS Charger Cameron Rose pitched 0.2 innings for the Rascals. Jimel Judon, a member of the Ole Miss Rebels, went 1-for-2 with an RBI. (June 13, 2011, Page 7)
