McGhee wins annual ‘Ironman’ award at OMS

There were 10 gold medal winners in this year’s Oxford Middle School Ironman lifting competition held recently at the school. Along with 10 gold winners, there were five records broken by Michael McGhee.
McGhee is the new record holder in total pounds lifted (1,125), bench press (270), parallel squat (405), powerclean (235) and incline bench (225).

McGhee won this year’s Ironman award for totaling 626 pounds and highest total pounds (1,125). The most improved award was given to Brandon Hill, who totaled 305 pounds.

Gold medal winners included: Earnie Mullins (99 pounds and under), Kylon Jones (100-109), Tias Hlliard (110-119), Daniel Schultz (120-129), John Adams (130-139), D’Kameron Hutchins (140-149), Tyler Hallam (150-159), Martray Thompson (160-169), Harland Stewart (170-179) and McGhee (180).

Silver medal winners included: Christopher Sandroni (99 and under), Josh Gibbs (100-109), Joshua Patton (110-119), Dodd Jones (120-129), Nicholas Scruggs (130-139), J.R. Anderson (140-149), K.T. McCollins (150-159), Kenzie Phillips (160-169), Marcel Pegues (170-179), Khoa Le (180 and over).

Bronze medal winners included: Lawson Barrett (99 and under), Tre Porter (100-109), Pruitt Griffin (110-119), Matthew Guyton (120-129), Jacory Harden (130-139), Kyree White (140-149), B.J. Carrothers (150-159), Ebonte Owens (160-169), Owen Bernard (170-179) and Robert Farris (180 and over). (May 4, 2011, Page 8)
