Led by four first-place finishers, the Lafayette Lady Commodores finished third at Saturday’s Region 1-4A meet held at Pontotoc. LHS totaled 91 points, just three behind Center Hill with 94. Pontotoc won the girls meet with 171.
Lafayette’s boys finished sixth at the meet with 43 points. Pontotoc won the boys meet with 128 points. The top four finishers in each event advance to Saturday’s 4A North Half meet at Mississippi State in Starkville. Ten Lady Commodores advanced to that meet, while five Commodores advanced.
