Flowers’ power propels Braves to win

Barry Flowers hit two home runs and collected six RBIs to lead the 10-year-old Rayner Eye Clinic Braves to a 19-8 win over the Rainbow Cleaners Rays on Tuesday night in Oxford Park Commission youth baseball action at FNC Park.
In the the other 10-year-old game, the Buckman Cardinals defeated the Tannehill, Carmean & McKenzie PLLC Cubs 10-6.

In the 9-year-old league, the Oxford Plastic Surgery Red Sox defeated the Hinton & Hinton Cubs 15-1 and the Holcomb Dunbar Attorneys Cardinals knocked off the Davis Logistics Yankees 11-10.

In the 11-12 league, the Hunter’s Hollow Braves beat the Smoothie King Phillies 7-6 and the Old Taylor Antiques Giants defeated the Oxford Dental Cardinals 9-5. (May 25, 2011, Page 7)
