Delvin Jones, Clarence Jackson suspended indefinitely

BLOG: Ole Miss released a statement earlier today from head coach Houston Nutt stating that rising sophomores Delvin Jones and Clarence Jackson have been “suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules.”Both Jones and Jackson were booked at the Lafayette County Detention Center at 3:50 a.m. and charged with public drunk.

Jackson posted bail at 4:45 p.m..

As of 4:58 p.m. Jones had not been released.

Both Jackson and Jones have had off-the-field issues while at Ole Miss and were suspended at separate times this past season.

Jones played in two games this past season and made one tackle, while Jackson played in four games and recorded two tackles. (May 13, 2011)
